Kim Cattrall

Kim Cattrall is a Golden Globe-winning and Emmy-nominated actress. She is best known for her iconic role as Samantha Jones in the HBO comedy series Sex and the City, and for her leading roles in the 1980s films Police Academy and Mannequin.

Career

 

Cattrall began her career in 1972 when she left Canada for New York City. She signed a five-year movie deal with director Otto Preminger, and made her film debut in Preminger's Rosebud. In 1979, she played the role of Dr Gabrielle White in The Incredible Hulk. She moved to the silver screen starring opposite Jack Lemmon in his Oscar-nominated movie Tribute. The following year, she starred in the critically acclaimed Ticket to Heaven.

Her most popular TV series, Sex and the City ended as a weekly series in spring 2004 with an audience of 10.6MM viewers. By popular demand, Cattrall revived her character Samantha Jones in the Sex and the City movies 1 & 2, making international record breaking success.

She co-starred with Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan, Tom Wilkinson, and James Belushi in The Ghost. Recently, Kim was the lead and executive producer of Sensitive Skin, an HBO Canada & Netflix TV series about an attractive woman going through a midlife crisis that was nominated for an International Emmy. Cattrall also starred in the CBS psychological thriller, Tell me a Story with Carrie-Anne Moss and Odette Annable.
